Through the Rabenschlucht and the forests of the Kirchberg the Lebküchlerweg leads us past viewpoints above the Black Rock and the Rudolf-Jordan-Hütte. Soon the forest clears and we hike across meadow paths to the district of Lehen - with wonderful views of the Todtmooser valley and the Hotzenwald.

The Hochkopfhaus invites us to a cozy stop before we hike on the panoramic trail to the cozy sky chairs under the Weidbuche.

On the rustic forest path we walk past the Liebfrauenbrunnen and enjoy the view at the Rüttepavillon. From there, the path leads us over paths and bridges through the small gorge down into the idyllic district Rütte and on to Todtmooser waterfall. Past the Stricker Chapel, we can stop in the Hotel-Restaurant Rößle shortly before the end of the hike.

"Open your eyes" on the high black forest premium hiking trails. Because on every way there is a stamp point in the form of a cuckoo clock. These offer the opportunity to document the hikes by stamp in the Hochschwarzwälder Wanderpass. Further information can be found at www.hochschwarzwald.de

Turn-by-turn directions

The Lebküchlerweg trail leads us through the Rabenschlucht gorge and the Kirchberg forests past vantage points above the Schwarzer Felsen and the Rudolf-Jordan-Hütte hut until the forest thins out and we hike over meadow trails to the Lehen district – with superb views of the Todtmoos Valley and the Hotzenwald forest.

The Hochkopfhaus invites us to enjoy a leisurely stop for refreshments before we hike on the Panorama Trail to the comfortable “Himmelsliegen” (Sky Loungers) under the pasture beech tree.

We hike on the rustic forest trail past the spring known as Liebfrauenbrunnen and enjoy the view at the Rütte Pavilion. From there the trail leads us over footbridges and bridges through the small gorge down into the idyllic Rütte district and further to the Todtmoos Waterfall. After hiking past the chapel “Stricker Kapelle” we can briefly stop for refreshments at Hotel-Restaurant Rößle before the end of the hike.
