Distance 10.8 km
The Goat's Trail leads us from the Mösle parking lot in Hinterdorf past some impressive old Black Forest farms. We walk halfway up the valley to various spells. Breathtaking views and fantastic perspectives open onto the surrounding valleys, hills and village. The sound of the goat bells accompanies us on our way and sometimes we stand a few meters away in front of a small herd. In addition to the goats, we can also find their wild relatives, the chamois.
"Open your eyes" on the high black forest premium hiking trails. Because on every way there is a stamp point in the form of a cuckoo clock. These offer the opportunity to document the hikes by stamp in the Hochschwarzwälder Wanderpass. Further information can be found at https:

Turn-by-turn directions
To begin, the path leads us past Mösle car park to a small village made up of a collection of impressive old Black Forest farms. We hike at half the valley elevation to destinations such as the “Schwarzberg”, where we turn left. Once past the “Brändler” and “Im Geschweih”, we go left and downhill. At “Moränen-Monschderle”, we go up to the head of the valley, where you can get advice about rafting. We will keep right along the Schotterweg Trail, have a rest at Flößer’s Rast (Rafter’s Rest), and enjoy the view. On the following trail, we cross the Menzenschwand Alps over a wooden bridge with stunning views of the Klusenbach Valley. Past the old Köhler-Platz, the trail goes down into the valley. The rest area in the valley is perfect for admiring the Menzenschwand Waterfall or anyone prefers to rest, can keep to the right to reach a “Schesslong dü Boah” (a forest sofa – a kind of curved wooden bench made of horizontal planks). Here, we have the opportunity to stop at Café & Berg-Beizle (a restaurant in the mountains) “Zum Kuckuck”. Afterwards, we will follow the asphalt path uphill for a little while until we get to the viewing platform. From there, the trail goes through a small gorge over the Weidberg, which is a natural spring and a particularly beautiful, small alder grove, a source of both radon and fluorite. Crossing a bridge over the Krunkelbach (stream), we will come to the Brandweg trail, a small field cleared to check the spread of forest fires. We will cross this and follow the trail above the drystone wall over the Krunkelbach Meadow towards east. After approximately 500 m, we will leave the Weidberg, follow the Teerweg (Brandweg) trail to the Säge Hut. Then we go north over the small Ellerwegle Trail to the starting point, the Mösle car park. From here, we have another breath-taking view of the Schwarzberg.
