Turn-by-turn directions
We start our tour across from Hebelhof and follow the path down to meadow springs. Shortly after getting there, a dirt trail forks to the right and winds downhill. We leave the woods and cross the meadow below the old ski jump. The downward path there curves into the woods after a few meters. The character of the brook valley quickly starts to change into that of a real ravine, and the serpentine trail features many bridges and steps. After approx. 1.5 km, the slope becomes less steep and the ravine becomes broader. We reach the B317 at the national training center (Bundesleistungszentrum). Cross the highway and follow the signposts. From here on, there are delightful paths, blooming meadows, and animal pastures to enjoy. We walk right towards the mountainside and dip into the woods before suddenly arriving at the Fahl Waterfalls. If you’ve never seen the 50 m high waterfall before, do plan enough time. After the waterfall, a level path leads to Todtnau. Follow the course of the valley and walk towards Brandenberg. The war memorial is reached via Todtnau. Soon you will be standing under Germany’s highest, natural waterfall (97 m).The climb proceeds under the cascade. Walk up the steps and continue in the direction of Todtnauberg. The waterfall trail becomes steep now and ends in a small health resort, at Hotel Sternen (bus stop). After arriving at your destination, take the bus to Todtnau and from there back to Feldbergerpass.
